(1) Nishapur, from the lands of the Persians. (2) Al-Suyuti and Al-Mahalli, from the great scholars of the Shafi'i school in Egypt, may God forgive them. (3) Egypt and Cairo, the land of the Pharaohs. Cairo is attributed to an ascendant star called Al-Qahir, and its foundation was laid at its rising. Its founder was Jawhar Al-Qaid Al-Siqilli, a freedman of Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah Al-Fatimi, the ruler of the Fatimid state in Egypt. And God knows best. (4) Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, author of Fath Al-Bari on Al-Bukhari. (5) Al-Maqqari, author of the book Idhafat Al-Dujna, Tawhid. (6) And Al-Andalus is Spain now, the former seat of Arab civilization during the reign of Abd Al-Rahman Al-Nasir Al-Umawi and his successors. (7) Lisan Al-Din Ibn Al-Khatib, vizier of Al-Andalus and author of the book Al-Ihata fi Akhbar Gharnata. (8) The author mentioned from here until his saying "Yahya, take the Book with might" until he said, "As for Muhammad ﷺ (18), he is a messenger among the messengers whose knowledge is obligatory in detail, seven of them: Hud, Shu'ayb, Salih, Dhu al-Kifl, Lut, Alyasa', and Ilyas. And God knows best." (9) He is among the possessors of firm resolve. 3 Nishapur (1), and Al-Suyuti (2) in his book Husn Al-Muhadara fi Akhbar Misr wa Al-Qahira (3), and Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (4) wrote a book about the scholars of his era, which he named Al-Durar Al-Kamina fi A'yan Al-Mi'a Al-Thamina. And Sheikh Ahmad Al-Maqqari (5) wrote a book named Nafh Al-Tib fi Ghusn Al-Andalus Al-Ratib (6), and the news of its vizier Lisan Al-Din Ibn Al-Khatib (7). And before proceeding to the main subject, it is appropriate to mention something of God's praise for His prophets, messengers, and angels in His Noble Book. So we say, and with God is success. God Almighty said concerning Adam, peace be upon him (8): "And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority...' to the end of the verse." And His saying Almighty, "When your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I will create a human being...' to the end of the verse." And His saying Almighty concerning Noah, peace be upon him, that he was a grateful servant. And His saying Almighty concerning Idris, peace be upon him, that he was a truthful prophet, the verse. And God Almighty said concerning Abraham and his children, descendants, and his wife, peace be upon them, when he said to his father, "O my father, indeed I have received knowledge that has not come to you..." to the saying of God Almighty, "And I will withdraw from you and from what you call upon other than Allah. And I will call upon my Lord. I expect that I will not be, in my supplication to my Lord, unfortunate." And God Almighty said concerning Abraham, peace be upon him, "And Allah took Abraham as an intimate friend." And God Almighty said, "Indeed, Abraham was a nation, obedient to Allah, devoutly inclined, and he was not of the polytheists." And God Almighty said, "And We bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob as a gift, and We made righteous all of them." And God Almighty said concerning his son Ishmael, that he was truthful in his promise, to the saying, "a prophet, and he was among the well-pleasing." And God Almighty said in praise of all of them, "And recall Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, possessors of strength and vision." to the saying, "And indeed, they are with Us among the chosen and the good." Then He informed of their reward in the Hereafter, "And indeed, for the righteous is the best of returns." the verse to the saying, "for the Day of Reckoning." And God Almighty said concerning Joseph, peace be upon him, "My Lord, You have given me from [what] sovereignty..." the verse to the saying, "and join me with the righteous." meaning Abraham (9), Isaac, and Jacob. And God Almighty informed about Job, peace be upon him, in his supplication for God to remove his affliction and return his family and children to him, by His saying, "And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, 'Affliction has touched me...' to the end of the verse, 'a worshipper.' And His saying Almighty, 'Indeed, We found him patient. Excellent [is] the servant. Indeed, he was one who returned [to Allah].'" meaning obedient. And He informed about Dhul-Nun, peace be upon him, when he left in anger at his people, by His saying, "And Dhul-Nun, when he went off in anger..." the verse to the saying, "Thus do We save the believers." And His saying Almighty, "And We sent him to [the people of] a hundred thousand or more." the verse to the saying, "And We let them enjoy for a time." And His saying Almighty concerning Moses and his brother Aaron, by His saying, "And to Moses, Allah spoke directly." And His saying Almighty, "And We called him from the right side of the Mount..." the verse to the saying, "and We gave him his brother Aaron as a prophet." And His saying Almighty also, "And We had certainly favored Moses and Aaron." the verse to the saying, "Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good." And His saying Almighty concerning Moses when his people harmed him, so Allah cleared him of what they said, and he was esteemed in the sight of Allah. And similar to this is much. And God Almighty said concerning David and Solomon, his son, peace be upon them. The five, according to the preponderant opinion, are Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon them all. And it is said that the possessors of firm resolve are more than five, and the knowledge is with Allah.
