A notification.

(In another narration: "If only one day remained of the world, Allah the Almighty would send men from us to fill it with justice, as it was filled with injustice.")

A collection of hadiths from the two Sahihs that may pertain to the Mahdi.

1. From Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: "The people of Iraq will soon have no qafiz (a measure for the people of Iraq) or dirham coming to them." We said: "From where will that be?" He said: "From the side of the Ajam (non-Arabs), they will prevent it." Then he said: "The people of Sham will soon have no dinar or mudd (a measure for the people of Sham) coming to them." We said: "From where will that be?" He said: "From the side of the Romans." Then he remained silent for a while, then he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said: "In the last of my Ummah, there will be a caliph who will give out money by handfuls, without counting it." The author of Al-Taj Al-Jami' li Al-Usul said: This is the Mahdi, by the evidence of the following hadith (meaning the hadith of Abu Saeed mentioned earlier, number 3), and that is due to the abundance of spoils of war and conquests, with his generosity and his giving of good to all people. And it has a corroboration with Imam Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi and he graded it as Hasan, Ibn Majah, and Al-Hakim, in a similar way from Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, said in ذكر the Mahdi: "And money will be abundant."
