And it is the Saylam, the Dahma, and the Ghabra, the darkness, in which people's hearts die as their bodies die. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "After me, four tribulations will come to you. In the first, blood will be shed. In the second, blood and wealth will be shed. In the third, blood, wealth, and chastity will be shed. And the fourth is deaf, blind, and encompassing, surging like waves in the sea, so that no one among the people can find refuge from it. It surrounds al-Sham, covers Iraq, and strikes the Jazira with its hand and foot, and the Ummah will be tormented in it like tanned leather. Then no one among the people will be able to say 'enough.' Then, if they do not recognize it from one direction, it will burst forth from another. And those who saved people from it were the people of Hijaz and the people of the coast. And from Arta'ah ibn al-Mundhir, from Damrah ibn Habib, he said: "Those who saved people from the tribulation of al-Saylam were the people of the coast and the people of Hijaz. And the people of Yemen. And from Sa'id ibn Muhajir al-Wasabi, he says: "When the tribulation of the West comes, tie the soles of your sandals to Yemen, for no land other than it will save you from it." The Siege of al-Sham. And al-Sham will be besieged before the Mahdi emerges. It has been besieged, and Gaza is besieged to this day, as is Syria, by the Romans, America, and Europe.
