Ahmed Al-Sharif relates these conversations, as transmitted by Ibn Al-Shafi'i from Ibn Al-Senussi, when he asked him about his mother and the palace. "And in Banch, a section of the Ikhwan," some of them embarked on the sea, heading to the town of Gabes, with his family, our grandmother in the Book of God, Shadiha Al-Habashiyya, and most of his belongings. Some accompanied him on land, and he traveled for two days, then descended to Al-Murra. Then to Al-Waha. Then to Al-Muyilam. Then to Al-Hima, then descended to Al-Aqida. Then descended to Ahrud. Then to Al-Baraka. During this journey, he accompanied the Egyptian Mahmal, but he did not mix with its people. He entered Egypt on the fourth day, wearing a turban and a cloak. The Shurans were above him, and he wore a cloak and descended at Sheikh Ahmed Barada. On the fourth day, he sent for the Ikhwan and ordered them to enter the country, and they descended at Sheikh Omar Al-Zawali in Wilaq and stayed there for three weeks. From there, he went to Al-Qudum and descended at Sheikh Zayid bin Mandil, and departed from there and entered Al-Bahnasa, then entered the Western Oases and descended at a place called Mandisha. He traveled to Al-Wadud. From there, he entered a town they called and descended at a place called Al-Tadmas. While leaving the town, he was still gathering and stayed there for seventeen days and remained in that place for three months. He was joined by Sidi Ahmed bin Idris and they worked there. (?). Shukri noted that Ahmed Al-Sharif did not inform us of Ibn Al-Senussi's activities in Egypt. However, from his account, we can infer that those days were full of activity, as he met many people and stayed for varying periods in a number of cities and villages, leaving behind in each place foundations and supporters. His teaching style to those people was characterized by simplicity and agreement with their intellectual level. A short while after the year of Ahmed bin Idris, the Ikhwan were afflicted with fever. During his stay there, a draft of Sidi Muhammad bin Shifsim was found, which he wanted to write for Sidi Ahmed Al-Ghayari and Sidi Muhammad Al-Khalidi. Among what he said to them in that response was, "We are heading towards the Maghreb, we have our desire there." Ahmed Al-Sharif, Al-Mahfuz, p. 4.
