His account of Ibn al-Senussi's journeys states that he was around that year on his way to the Hijaz. The author notes the differing opinions of historians and the lack of certainty regarding any of them. He quotes Renard as saying he left when he was thirty years old. From the introduction to the "Al-Abkath" written by King Idris, it is mentioned that he was around twenty. Then he quotes Adams and his discussion of this issue.

He says, "If we follow the Senussi's determination, he would have left Fez around 1417 AD (according to some opinions). The date of his departure from Fez is 1418 AD."

Ziyada does not provide a specific date, but mentions that the dates are approximate. He states that Ibn al-Senussi left his homeland in the year 1417 AD, and we believe he left his homeland in the year 1417 AD. We do not agree with the other determinations because this date is consistent with the detailed plan of his life that we will present and does not contradict any part of it. It leaves no gap that most historians have acknowledged and remained silent about.

There is evidence that refutes the other determinations. Ahmad al-Sharif mentions that his grandfather passed through Tripoli of the West on his way to the Hijaz in the year 1260 AH (1844 AD). This aligns with the determination of Shukri, Renard, and others, who placed Ibn al-Senussi in Fez in that year. It further strengthens our preference for this date. King Idris confirms this date in his conversation with me, stating that his grandfather left Fez in the year 1844 AD.
