Al-Sanusi and Qum are in the second row of the aforementioned group. The movement intensified after the death of Ibn al-Sanusi, where his son Al-Mahdi took over in 1902, who died in 1918.

The movement passed through stages of development in the midst of the struggle.

Later, Western powers engaged in war against France in the desert and against the coast of Libya. Our study is limited to the history of the movement in the nineteenth century.

In this study, we will examine the factors that influenced Ibn al-Sanusi and pushed him to undertake his movement, by studying the history of his life. We will study his writings, thoughts, and work, and the results of studying the movement under Al-Mahdi, dealing with the history of his life. Then we will dedicate a special chapter to studying the Sanusi system, whose basis was the "Zawiya" and the Sufi order.

We will conclude this study with a final chapter on the spread of the Sanusi call.
