Exposure means deviation, and his saying "exposure during the sash" means deviating during the sash when it is thrown. He likened it to a thread with knots, its ends gathered, so its bottom is wider than its top. Likewise, the Pleiades and the sides of the sash are its sides. (His saying) "they were adjacent" means they were adjacent, and the joint that is separated between each two knots of it is a pearl. The agent in "when the Pleiades were exposed" is "exposed" because he means "you have passed and overcome these horrors and guards when the Pleiades descended." And the narrator: * "I came to her, and she had shed her vile clothes, * except for the garment of the one who excels." "Shed" It is said, "He shed his garment from him" when he took it off. "Garment" is the state in which a person wears his clothes. It is said, "So-and-so has a good garment," meaning the state in which he is in terms of clothing. "The one who excels" is the one who wears a single garment to sleep or do some work. The name of the garment is "fadl." The meaning of the verse is that he informs that he is her guard at the time of her solitude and sleep, so that he may obtain what he wants from her. * "She said, 'By God, you have no stratagem, * nor do I see providence revealed from you.'" (25) "Providence" is from the blindness of the heart. It is also narrated as "misguidance," which is the source of "ghawa," and "ghawaya" is "al-jahbal." "Revealed" means "uncovered." The meaning of the verse is that she feared that it would be revealed about her, so she said, "You have no stratagem," meaning no trickery, because you come while people are around me. It has also been said, "You have no stratagem in your dispute." It has also been said, "You have no stratagem in what you intend." It is narrated "By God" with accusative and nominative cases. * "I went out with her, walking in a valley behind us, * following our tracks, a tied and connected camel saddle." 27 (20) "Yumr" "Bihi" "Fihi" "Suwar al-rijal."
