Allah the Almighty says at the beginning of Surat Al-Jinn: "Say: It has been revealed to me that a group of jinn listened and said: 'Indeed, we have heard a wondrous recitation. It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.'" (Al-Jinn: 1-2).

This verse clearly indicates the great blessing of Allah's Book. One of its blessings is that it contains miraculous secrets in various fields, which makes contemplating it a source of wonder. Among these secrets is numerical miracle. Whoever desires more details on this subject should refer to the third appendix at the end of the book.

Among the most prominent and noble indications of this numerical miracle is its indication of news of the unseen, especially since this news had a significant share in the scriptures of previous prophets. So how could it not have a greater share in the Quran, which is Allah's Book, the guardian over all previous books? Indeed! And to Allah belongs all praise. For this reason, the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The Quran is a treasure of knowledge, its beginning is mercy, its middle is success, and its end is freedom from the fire." (Narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad, and Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Darimi in their Sunan, the wording is Al-Tirmidhi's).

The hadith clearly states that the Quran contains a great deal of news of the unseen and tidings of the future. It is not far-fetched that these tidings are mentioned with their timings. All that is required of the servant is to seek understanding from the Quran, hoping to find them.

Many of these timings have been deposited by Allah the Almighty in the numerical miracle, as will be explained. Allah the Almighty says in Surat Al-Isra: "And the night and the day are two signs, so We have erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day bright, that you may seek bounty from your Lord and know the number of years and the account. And We have detailed everything in detail." (Al-Isra: 12).

So, Allah the Almighty has made the sun and the moon subservient to us, meaning in their continuous and constant movement, for reckoning and calculation, and for extracting the secrets that Allah the Almighty has deposited in this reckoning and calculation. This is why the verse concludes with Allah's saying: "And We have detailed everything in detail." (Al-Isra: 12). Our righteous predecessors were aware of this connection that links the numerical miracle to the events of the end of time.
