O Lord, You know, O Lord, You know the rivers, O Lord, You know the rivers in which the people of Israel will be drowned. O Lord, You know the rivers.

The duration of this period is forty years.

And generally, the subjugation of the people and their humiliation is only for a period of forty years.

Until mankind was created, subject to these laws, the law of the serpent. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, Allah has revealed to me that He will send down a punishment upon this Ummah, and it will be for forty years."

This is what will happen to this Ummah in its final destruction. By the will of Allah Almighty, affliction will befall it for forty years, as it befell the Children of Israel before, in confirmation of the saying of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace: "Indeed, Allah has revealed to me that He will send down a punishment upon this Ummah, and it will be for forty years."

And in this period, their condition will improve, and a new generation will emerge from them, capable of carrying the trust. Then Allah Almighty will bestow upon them, after these forty years, the conquest of Jerusalem, as He bestowed upon those before them.

And thus it becomes clear to us that the period that will separate the two covenants, by the will of Allah Almighty, is forty years. That is, the second covenant, the covenant of the Mahdi, will be, by the will of Allah Almighty, in the year 1441 AH, corresponding to the years 2019-2020 AD. And in what follows, we will present what confirms the timing of this great event. We say, and by Allah Almighty is all success: Ahmad narrated in his Musnad, from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Indeed, Allah has revealed to me that He will send down a punishment upon this Ummah, and it will be for forty years. Then He will send down a punishment upon them, and it will be for forty years. Then He will send down a punishment upon them, and it will be for forty years."
