As for the Mahdi (and according to another narration, Salah), and the Egyptian people in Sudan, they saw what was happening. The Mahdi's miracle was a promise to the colonizers. The occupation of our lands became a fantasy that only the ignorant tourists (who are blind) could imagine. Their departure became imminent. The miracle was a sign of God's power and His support. And there was peace and security.
