The following are some of the subdivisions of the Ahamda : Zeraykab SUBHAB Berarig 'Edayfab Ghadayin KiSAYBAB Ma'ala ZUMAMAB In the Blue Nile Province, on either side of the river, but chiefly to the east.

Zeraykab mughamsa Shawarab Sahawat Shakalia Dawiab WiTAYDAB.

(c) THE yASANfA AND THE HUSAYNAT VII The Hasania, in spite of the enormous losses which they suffered in the Dervish days, are the largest of the tribes which were originally included in the term Kawahla, but which are now independent of the parent stock.

They are divided into two main groups. The first is in the White Nile Province and is very numerous. Those on the west bank are mainly a cattle-owning people and do not extend far inland from the river : they have large herds and form a great part of the population between Ketayna and el Dueim.

Those on the east bank are semi-nomadic owners of camels cattle and sheep, and cultivate an extensive riverain area. The following are some of their subdivisions : 13. NAkiAb 14. HowayliAb 15. Ganuka 16. GODAB 1. 'Imayria 2. Rahmab 3. GhulamAb 4. RafadAb 5. kushkushab 9. gimaylia 6. MaghAwir 10. Kasirab 7. Nagagir II. Kiraymbab 8. Gawawit 12. Rimaylab The second group of Hasania, with herds of camels and sheep and some cattle, wanders farther afield, north, north-east, north-west and east of the junction of the Niles, to the Bayuda desert and Gebel GiUf and Gakdul on the one hand, and to the Butana on the other. In Berber Province they include Karafish, Nagagir, Bilaylab, Hammadab, Hamidab, etc.

The Husaynat are mostly on the White Nile and are divided into Bawazi and Shitawia. Both sections are semi-nomadic.
