He girded him with a sword and gave him a horse with a golden saddle. Al-Kashif went to his home, delighted with what he had obtained from the Sultan, saying, "These are riches that God has sent me to help me with this reconciliation." When evening came, after the night prayer, the Sultan ordered one of the kings to be brought with his army and commanded him to patrol until he saw Al-Kashif enter the Sultan's house, followed by him, and to secure everything in Al-Kashif's house. He warned him not to let anything escape. Then he sent for Al-Kashif, saying, "My master is having a private gathering and wishes you to attend his council. Arrange for the slaves to arrest him in the presence of the Sultan's mother." So he went.
