Chapter Twelve: Children of Al-Nasir 299 Al-Hajj Abd al-Wahhab, through his second son Al-Khadīʿ, from whom came the name Al-Khada'iʿ, sometimes applied to this sub-tribe, as well as to the people of Muhammad al-Ṣaghīr who have the same origin, and they number 211 souls, and their chief is Al-Ḥasan bin ʿAlī Ṣāfī. (c) People of Muhammad bin ʿUmar Ṭālib, and they are related to ʿĪsā bin Naṣir, and they comprise two independent camps. The first consists of 272 souls, led by Sīdī Aḥmad bin Sīdī Aḥmad bin Sīdī Būbakr, and the second comprises 628 souls, led by his nephew Sīdī Būna [bin Sīdī], who was one of those who showed strong opposition to the re-formation of the tribe in 1914. (d) People of Būbakr bin ʿUmar Ṭālib, and they have the same origin as we saw for the previous sub-tribes, and they number 275 souls. (e) People of Al-Hādī, and they are related to Shīshīb. For example, the lineage of the chief Muhammad bin Abūh bin Shīshīb bin ʿAlī Hādī bin Ibrāhīm bin Shīshīb. They number 162 souls. (f) People of Al-ʿAtīq, who are mostly related to Al-Riyāsh bin ʿAntar bin Naṣir, but there are also some tents among them from the children of Saʿīd, Al-ʿAntarah, and [children of] Shīshīb. The chief of the sub-tribe is Al-Ḥabīb bin ʿUthmān bin Al-Ṭālib Al-ʿAtīq bin Sīdī Muhammad Al-Ḥanafī. He is not of Naṣirī origin. His grandfather, Al-Ṭālib Al-ʿAtīq, traces his lineage to Tshamʿa (Idshashʿa), and came to the tribe at the beginning of the nineteenth century. His knowledge and virtue brought him much love and admiration, and one of the men of the Children of Al-Nasir, Sheikh Aḥmad, married his daughter to him. An influential camp formed around him from different origins, now forming an independent unit. Al-Ḥabīb is an elderly man, a respected, beloved, and reformist chief. He accompanied Bakār during his first visit to Khay, and worked to facilitate communication with them. The sub-tribe numbers 286 souls. (h) People of Jafadān, they are from the children of Yaḥyā bin Maʿtūq, and their chief is Khūbātī bin ʿAbd al-Wahhāb bin ʿAbd al-Raḥmān bin ʿAlī bin Al-Ḥājj bin Jafadān bin Mālik bin Al-Thīn bin Yaḥyā. Their number is 255 souls. (i) People of Muhammad al-Ṣaghīr, and they trace their lineage to the aforementioned Khadīʿ. Their chief is Bābā bin Al-Ḥasan bin ʿAlī Maḥmūd bin Muḥammad al-Ṣaghīr bin Al-Maḥjūb bin Khadīʿ. Their number is 199 souls. (j) People of Nāfiʿ, and they consist of a small camp of 23 souls. Their chief is Ibrāhīm bin Nāfiʿ bin ʿĪdī, who was the first to come here and become a Naṣirī, and his origin is from Al-Maḥradāt (Lādim). (k) People of Al-Jadī, and they are not of Naṣirī origin. They are the children of Saʿīd – children of Ḥabīb Allāh. Their chief is Ḥammūn bin ʿAbd Allāh bin ʿAbd al-Raḥmān bin ʿAbd Allāh bin Al-Jadī, who was the first to repent.
