Our mother, Zayra, may God have mercy on her, was visiting. On the evening of Saturday, the twenty-first of the month, my son-in-law, Sheikh al-Mukhtar, passed away. I undertook his preparation and led his funeral prayer between Maghrib and Isha. He was buried in the Great Mosque of Hani, may God have mercy on him and grant him peace. On Wednesday, at noon on the fourteenth of Sha'ban, Sharif Zaydan ibn Sharif Ali ibn Sharif al-Zawar passed away, may God have mercy on him. We were blessed by their intercession in both worlds. On the night of the thirteenth of the month, the esteemed "Mutasawwif" ibn al-Baqqa, may God have mercy on him, passed away in the city of Hani and was buried that night in the Great Mosque. I, along with three witnesses and four women, remained at the door of his house for guard duty, knowing what the Kawahy would do. The next morning, we found his belongings in the presence of the Kawahy after obtaining permission from the Sharia judge. This was during the time of Pasha Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Karim al-Jarrar. On Wednesday, at the time of Asr on the twenty-seventh of Ramadan, the beloved, virtuous, beneficial scholar, Mu'd ibn Badr ibn Hamud al-Fazzani, passed away. His funeral prayer was led after the Maghrib prayer, and he was buried at that time in the tombs of the Great Mosque, may God have mercy on him and forgive him and grant him peace. On Saturday, the seventh of Jumada al-Ula in the year thirty-eight after one thousand, the first Amin, Commander Mu'd ibn Abi Bakr, was killed by Pasha Ali ibn Abd al-Qadir, may God curse him, in the city of Sultan Mulay Abd al-Malik, may God have mercy on him. On Monday, the last day of Dhu al-Hijjah in the year thirty-nine after one thousand, Umar ibn Ibrahim Zaydan passed away.
