On the eve of the Prophet's Spring Festival, in the year 1076 AH, at the age of seventy-three, Ahmad bin Sa'id bin Abdan passed away. On Sunday, the seventh of Dhu al-Hijjah al-Haram, in the year 1062 AH, Commander Abd al-Karim bin al-Eid was dismissed from command in Hani, and Commander Ali bin Abd al-Aziz al-Faraj took over that command on Thursday, the seventeenth of Dhu al-Hijjah al-Haram. In the year 1063 AH, on Friday, the twenty-second of Safar, in the year 1062 AH, Ali arrived at the water of Maghdak, which is twenty-two miles away. However, he did not reach the intended destination, which was twenty miles away, but rather twenty-three miles away. A strange event that had not happened before and was one of the vicissitudes of time.
Also, in his time, the seeds of sedition were sown from every direction and place, but thanks to God, the Muslims were safe and victorious. In the last days of Dhu al-Qa'dah al-Haram of the year 1062 AH, Sheikh Ali al-Dousi attacked the people of Kawa and reached Sani near Iskandar Dawud, along with all the tribal leaders there, including Arabs, Tuareg, Fulani, and others. In the middle of Dhu al-Hijjah al-Haram of the year 1063 AH, the commander Mansur bin Mubarak al-Sawaf, commander of Kawa, moved his forces to provide relief. The people of Taktak, along with the dismissed commander Ahmad bin Sa'id al-Madanis, marched to the lands of Iskandar and Arim, leaving Kawa empty.
