He took from them a noble prize, and they returned, followed by Al-Mekkur, the infidels with him, with arrows, to Karkiyah, then to Banzu, then to Ar-Adar, attacking all who were there, of the Arabs and Tuareg, and those who stole their property. They followed him for a short while, then they despaired of his evil and returned. This was in the month of Ramadan in the aforementioned year. And in this month, Hatim Al-Kamili attacked the people of Hayy and remained in the land of Shu. May God make the outcome of all good. And on the seventh day of the second month of this year, our brother, the jurist Abd al-Sa'di bin Al-Walid Abd Allah bin Imran Al-Mishmishi, arrived from Hayy. He lost his sight at the age of Tayyib Ibrahim Al-Sumi and entered the city on the night of Saturday. The Pasha Ahmed bin Al-Batha hosted him in his house, honored him, and treated him with the utmost kindness and hospitality. The aforementioned jurist was cured, and God Almighty freed him from the darkness of blindness. He remained in Takt for three months and four days. The Pasha Ahmed Al-Tayyib gave him thirty-three mithqals and three dirhams of gold from his own money. Then, upon his return to his homeland, he gave him forty measures of salt and fine clothing. He left Takt after the dawn prayer on the thirteenth day of the first month of Rabi' in the aforementioned year.
