Chapter Thirty-Six
Deaths and Dates from the Year 1042 AH to the End of the Year 1033 AH.
In the year 1042 AH, the leader Ahmad bin Masoud Tarab died. He was killed in the Rawaas. The army mourned him. On the night of Ashura, on Monday night, Ahmad bin Mudi [died].
In the year 1033 AH, Aunt Umm Hifsa bint Abd al-Rahman died.
The scholar, the esteemed Al-Fadhel Al-Haj bin Al-Fadhel, may God have mercy on him, died. In the middle of Safar of that year, the leader Ahmad bin Al-Shadhili died and was buried in the tombs of the Great Mosque.
On the first of Jumada, Hanki Abu Bakr bin Abdullah died. He was killed by the leader Luq bin Zurqun in the Qasaba, in cold blood, in the presence of the six Kawahis. He was washed on Thursday night, the funeral prayer was performed, and he was buried in the Great Mosque in the city of Hayy. In the latter part of Jumada al-Akhirah of that year, Una and Habna, daughter of Bakri bin Al-Zanan, died in Hajj.
