Among the people of that time was Ahmad bin Hajj bin Yusuf al-Ajami. And he who remained in the Maqam from the year sixty-six, and the lineage of al-Ajami, and the lineage of Adam, and the lineage of Dawood, son of the Emir Iskana al-Hajj Muhammad, son of Abu Bakr, and he who remained in the Maqam from the kings of the Sudan, the people of the land of Masina, and the lineage of Ali bin Jumu'ah bin Jumu'ah Asma'il, who opposed Ali, the people of the treasury in the city of Gwandu, and took refuge in the wilderness, and we do not know today what their end will be. May God grant safety in that. And he who remained in the Maqam from the Fulani people of Masina, Amina bin Qandak to Bakr Yam, son of Afqandak Muhammad Amina al-Wali. And remember the leaders and rulers in the city of Gwandu, and the arrangement of the judges, imams, and sultans of the Tuareg in Timbuktu, from the beginning of the aforementioned settlement to this date, and what happened after that, God willing. And I have heard that he was killed and burned. The Qadi said, and God is his helper and generous.
