Aziz was pleased with Godar and praised him greatly. The slanderers approached the Pasha and mentioned that Godar had collected the land's revenue, stating that for seven years he would do as he pleased. He asked the Pasha for permission to collect the taxes, and the Pasha agreed, saying, "Go and do it under my supervision and make it a night operation." When Godar returned to his home, he sent the Pasha a gift of one hundred mithqals and four beautiful slave girls. He also sent him one hundred mithqals and four slave girls, and another one hundred mithqals. He imprisoned him and he did not leave prison until he gave him five thousand mithqals of gold. He remained in power until the days of Pasha Muhammad al-Masi, who arrested him, deposed him, and confiscated all his wealth. The aforementioned Pasha Muhammad al-Masi was succeeded by Abu Bakr bin Wurmash, who ruled for a period. This collection concludes, praise be to God and His assistance, on Tuesday, the fifth of Rabi' al-Thani, in the year 1261 AH. He remained there for approximately fifty-four years. During the reign of Muhammad al-Masi, his vizier Abu Bakr bin Wurmash was appointed.
