The inspection post was attacked unjustly and aggressively, which was precisely their objective. So they entered the country the next day and searched it. Then it was announced that all the people would gather the next day in the mosque to swear allegiance to Sultan Mulay Ahmad. So all the people gathered. On the first day, which was Thursday, the 21st of Muharram, the Al-Tuwatun, Al-Faza'iyun, and Al-Wajliyun swore allegiance. The second day, Monday, the 22nd of Muharram, the Al-Walatiyun, Al-Wadaliyun, and their kin swore allegiance. Then it was said that only the Qubaba remained, so the people were summoned for them the next day to swear allegiance. When the people gathered in the mosques the next day, the doors were locked, and the people were expelled except for the Qubaba, their followers, and their adherents. The Pasha, Mud bin Zurqun, arrested them all that day, which was Friday, the 24th of Muharram, in the second year after the Hijra. He imprisoned them and sent them to the citadel in two groups. One group was taken through the middle of the city, and another group was taken outside the city from the direction of the Qibla. Among them were the martyrs who were killed that day as they were being led. They reached the citadel with some prisoners. One of them was Wakri, who was told to draw his sword. The prisoners were from the people of Sum Sukri. Among them were the scholar Ahmad, the ascetic scholar Muhammad al-Amin bin the judge Muhammad bin Sayyidi Mud, the scholar Al-Mustafa bin the scholar Masr bin Umar, and Muhammad bin Ahmad.
