And according to what was intended, the Sultan Mulay al-Hasan, his son, appeared at that time. And blessing appeared from him at the seventh hour, and on the sixteenth of Jumada al-Ula, a letter arrived from the commander Ali bin Abd al-Aziz al-Farji in Hani and from Sirriyah al-Takmil bin Sirriyah Bakr, the owner of Kani'. They informed that the accursed outsider Janki Bakr had prepared an army to Kani' intending to kill the aforementioned Sirriyah and to overcome that region, cutting off the road for travelers. And it was known that the Kahiya Abd Allah al-Mami was there with about thirty skilled archers. The army reached the wall of the town, and they fought. Allah aided the Kahiya Abd Allah and Sirriyah against them, so they defeated them with their wretched, accursed army, broke them, drove them away, and killed many. They fled in retreat, traitors, destroyed and scattered. And Allah relieved the servants and the land from him, by His grace and generosity. And Muhammad, may Allah Almighty aid him and grant him success.
