Appendix No. (2) The Pledge of Allegiance to Imam Al-Khatm Sayyid Muhammad Uthman al-Mirghani (1) In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, and may Allah bless our master Muhammad and his family and companions.

And grant them peace. O Allah, I pledge allegiance to You and am pleased with my master, Sayyid Muhammad Uthman al-Mirghani, as my Sheikh in this world and the hereafter.

So, O Allah, keep me steadfast in his love and on his path in this world and the hereafter, by the right of our master Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Adnan.

And by the right of "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone do we worship, and You alone do we seek for help. Guide us to the straight path, the path of those You have blessed, not of those who have earned Your anger, nor of those who are astray. Amen."
