" Ilis Highness the Khedive has honoured you with the rank of Miralia (General), also conferring on you the decoration of the Osmanir of the 3rd degree. I received the nomination in a cipher telegram from His Highness, dated 3rd February, 1879. The diploma and H.H. order Avill be forwarded by post. T send you this despatch to acquaint you with this important news."
