Abu Muhammad Muhammad Shafi'i, son of Muhammad Ismail, nicknamed "Nimra Kujak" and with the pen name "Wasal". Born in Shiraz, he was educated there. He was a learned and dervish-like man, and was favored by the great men of his era. He chose poetry and calligraphy as his occupation. He wrote Naskh, Nastaliq, and Shikasteh calligraphy with mastery. He passed away in Shiraz, in the Shah Cheragh shrine, and was buried next to the tomb of his spiritual guide, Mirza Abolghasem Sokut.
