Illuminations: Gold-leafed, with gold and lapis lazuli decorations on the text and margins. The opening pages and margins are of excellent gold leaf. The chapter headings are gilded. Calligraphy: Excellent Naskh script. Colophon: "The completion of these divans has occurred, by the grace of the Clear King, by the hand of the humble servant in need of the mercy of the Rich God, Sultan Ali Qaini, may God forgive his sins and conceal his faults, in the month of Rabi' al-Awwal in the year eight hundred and ninety-eight AH..."
Sultan Ali Qaini, one of the most skilled calligraphers, was a servant of Amir Ali Shir Navai. He passed away in the year 941 AH during the reign of Sultan Husayn Bayqara.
