There is unfortunately in Europe a class of philanthropists who are wise in their own conceit, who have a number of pet theories, which are well adapted for board-rooms and newspaper articles, but, when put to the test of practical experience, are found to be utterly worthless.
It would be well if some of them were to pay a flying visit to Central Africa. They would probably learn a few lessons which would well repay the cost of the journey; and would confer a great boon on thousands, who in those far regions are to this day suffering from the force of the " fixed ideas " which these well-intentioned but misguided gentlemen, having once originated on insufficient data, so obstinately maintain.
At Keroto we saw Amfina one of Kabrega's cousins, who had come to meet us. His pedigree may prove a matter of some interest : Issanca.
