V WORK AT KHARTOUM;- The first report of the Wellcome Research Laboratories Gordon Memorial College, Khartoum, has been issued by Department of Education of the Soudan Government. Dr. Andrew Balfour may be very cordially congratulated on the work done since his appointment. He only reached Khartoum on January 22, 1903, and could not have been delighted to find that the rooms were not nearly ready, much of the equipment of the laboratory had not yet made its appearance, and some of the furni¬ sh transit.
