The Rashaida are a tribe of Arab origin, who migrated from the Arabian Peninsula to Sudan in the 19th century. They are primarily found in the eastern part of Sudan, in the states of Kassala and Red Sea. The Rashaida are known for their pastoral lifestyle, raising camels, sheep, and goats. They are also skilled traders and have played a significant role in the economy of eastern Sudan. The Rashaida language is a dialect of Arabic, but it has been influenced by other languages spoken in the region, such as Beja and Tigre.
