of a proper name but of a member of a sub-tribe; i.e. the son's name would be "Serrar," "Nafa'i," etc., and his descendants (the sub-tribe) would thus be called "Serr.4rab," etc., and the singular of such form is "Serrarabi," etc. Though 14 sons are given, the text of the paragraph commences " Hammad el Akrat had thirteen sons."
