The following is a statistical survey of the area cultivated for six years, starting from 1418 AH. The area cultivated more than once in each of the years starting from 1418 AH to 1423 AH (1900-1905 AD) was found to be, on average, 51% of the total cultivated area.

The area irrigated by summer irrigation, assuming the area of basin lands is 1,000,000 feddans:

It should be noted that the figures above differ slightly from those previously stated in this memorandum. The reason for this is that these figures for cultivated areas are from the estimation of the Ministry of Finance, while the previous figures are from the estimation of the Survey Department. However, the financial figures are sufficiently accurate to determine the percentages.

We were able to estimate the area cultivated with summer irrigation from 1418 AH to 1423 AH at 38% of the total cultivated area. If we consider the aforementioned percentage, which is 38%, then the area cultivated with summer irrigation in these years is:

It is known, and it is expected that the cultivation of cotton in 1421 AH and 1422 AH will cover 30% of the summer cultivated area in Lower Egypt and 20% of the summer cultivated area in Upper Egypt, knowing that the summer cultivated area is 38% and 40% respectively of the total cultivated area.

From these figures, the following table shows that the area of cotton may reach 125,400 feddans in 1421 AH. This area was 125,400 feddans in 1422 AH, and in 1423 AH it was 171,000 feddans.

In 1421 AH, the cotton area was 125,400 feddans. In 1422 AH, this area was 125,400 feddans, and in 1423 AH it was 171,000 feddans.
