Egyptian Sudan. A great number of the population in Egypt. Let us assume they are half a million or a million. It takes population increase over a period of only four years, and when this period requires shortening, we find ourselves facing the same dilemma again. Far be it from me to simplify the matter of industry with these words, but the intention is only to show the inadequacy of this resource and that it does not solve the problem we are facing. The only path open to us is towards the South, where there is a vast region with a sparse population and land of the same nature as Egypt, watered by the same Nile, and no separation between us. Rather, it and Egypt are one body. And a region like this, its living conditions and the fruits of its land are similar to our Egyptian land. Egyptians alone are those who can settle it in a state of happiness and prosperity. In short, it is an environment suitable for Egyptians, to the extent that they are suited to this environment. And it is what can accommodate the continuous increase of Egypt's population for a hundred years without any inconvenience. Sudan is the only door to peace that has remained open to Egypt wide open since ancient times, and it must remain so forever because it is as necessary to it as the soul is to the body. To this end, all efforts of those who hold Egypt in their hands and harbor its benefit and interest in their hearts should be directed.
