And the British policy's beginnings, 95. And its tribute in his reign reached four million dinars (2,400,000 EGP), at a rate of 8 qirsh per feddan. And from Al-Maqrizi, it is understood that its area in the reign of Al-Ma'mun was 4,270,000 dinars (4,270,700 EGP), at a rate of 85 qirsh per feddan.

And it was surveyed a third time by Ibn Al-Mudabbir, the tax collector during the caliphate of Al-Mu'tazz Billah. He found four and twenty million feddans suitable for cultivation, as mentioned by Al-Maqrizi, and its tribute reached eight hundred thousand dinars (480,000 EGP), at a rate of two qirsh per feddan. And the tribute during the rule of Ahmad Ibn Tulun, as mentioned by Ibn Waseef Shah, was 4,200,000 dinars (4,200,000 EGP). His time was prosperous. And during the rule of Al-Ashraf Ibn Muhammad Tunk, the tribute, as mentioned by Al-Maqrizi, was two million dinars, equivalent to (1,200,000 EGP).

And in the caliphate of Al-Mustazhir Billah, its tribute in the year 358 AH, as mentioned by Ibn Waseef Shah, was 1,200,000 dinars (1,200,000 EGP). And in the year 359 AH, as mentioned by Ibn [illegible] 7,200,000 EGP). And similarly in the year 360 AH, as mentioned by Abu Al-Mahasin, 1,920,000 dinars (1,920,000 EGP).

And it reached, in the caliphate of Al-Mustansir Billah, according to Abu Salih, 3,121,000 dinars.

And during the rule of Salah al-Din, the tribute of Egypt, excluding the regions of Manfalut and Mi'na, in the year 585 AH, as mentioned by Al-Qadi Al-Fadil, was 3,029,465 dinars (3,029,465 EGP).

And its land was surveyed a fourth time during the reign of Al-Mansur Husam al-Din Lajin, and it was 5,737,223 feddans (4,849,950 EGP), and its tribute reached 10,816,084 dinars (10,816,084 EGP), at a rate of 4.26 qirsh per feddan.

And it was surveyed a fifth time during the reign of Al-Nasir Muhammad Ibn Qalawun in the year 715 AH (1315 AD). It amounted to 5,133,723 feddans, and its tribute was 9,428,289 dinars (56,565,693 EGP), at a rate of 4.109 qirsh per feddan. This is the last survey found in this country.
