Since sovereignty does not exist, Turkey's recognition is of no value whatsoever, because by doing so, it is granting a right to others in a country it does not own. It did not understand the meaning of remaining silent on the Sudanese issue by merely showing a denial of this recognition from the Turkish government, because Turkey also recognized the English protectorate over Egypt, and this did not prevent opposition to it or negotiations on the Egyptian issue.
