He was dismissed in the month of Rabi' al-Thani in the year two hundred and one after the Hijra, and his tenure was seven months. During the second tenure, the Imam of the Great Mosque, Imam Baba Saeed bin Imam Ahmad bin Imam Saeed bin Imam Muhammad Kaddad, may God have mercy on him, passed away on Thursday, five days into Safar, the beginning of the year two hundred and one after the Hijra, may God Almighty have mercy on him and them.

Sayr bin Mas'ud bin Mansur al-Zufri was appointed after the dismissal of Commander al-Abbas bin Saeed al-Mu'ammari in the middle of the year ninety-nine and one hundred after the Hijra. After his return from this raid, the drought intensified in that region, and he was dismissed shortly thereafter in Safar al-Khair, the beginning of the year seven hundred and one after the Hijra.
