On the night of Wednesday, the sixth of Rajab al-Fard in this year, at the time of suhoor, the commander Hamad bin al-Fagh Mansour bin the commander Muhammad bin Ali al-Mubarak al-Dara'i passed away. Then he was dismissed on Sunday, the twenty-first of Ramadan al-Mu'azzam, and his tenure was five months. Then he was reinstated on Wednesday, the twenty-second of Jumada al-Ula in the year one hundred and fifty-eight after the Hijra. Then he intended to dismiss the Musayyabin, but they did not accept him, and they dismissed him on Wednesday, the twenty-eighth of Sha'ban of the same year, and his tenure was four months.

Abd al-Ghaffar bin al-Kahiyah Usama bin the commander Ali bin Muhammad bin Abdullah al-Tazrakini, known as Sunh, took over after the dismissal of the commander Mahmoud bin the commander Sunir bin the commander Muhammad Yuy on Wednesday, the sixth of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal in the year one hundred and sixty-one after the Hijra. Before his appointment, he was a Kahiyah for the Fasien troops. When he became Pasha, he made his brother and cousin, Baba bin Mansour bin the commander Ali, the Kahiyah for the Fasien people, and he appointed Muhammad Ramadan bin the commander Ahmad Zank as the Kahiyah for the Marrakeshin people. Then he summoned the Musayyabin on Wednesday, the thirteenth of the month, and removed four thousand mithqals of gold from them, and they gave it to him without question, due to the awe and respect that God Almighty had instilled in him. Then he divided it among the army, giving two hundred mithqals to each of their elders and one hundred and fifty to those below them, and then a qirawi to whoever was the head of a group of their junior soldiers, and so on. He also gave clothing to everyone who was accustomed to receiving it, such as the Qiyad, the Kawahi, the people of the Dair, the Sasel, the Fursash, the Sheikh al-Ruway, the Sitten, and the Zaman, and even the shrouds and the flutes. Some of them only used to receive a large silk garment, like the Qiyad. Some of them only received a garment from Susi, like the Kakawahi. Some of them had a Sahhan garment, and some had a red linen garment, and some had a palm garment, and some had a cloak.
