To acquaint the reader with the Arab in Sudan, his natural conditions, his human circumstances, and his economic entity, we hope to contribute what is our national duty in writing the geography of the Great Arab Homeland. We do not claim to have reached the ultimate goal, but rather it is an attempt through which we hope to open the door for researchers, as the field is still vast and the road is long. If the reader finds his goal in this attempt, then this is what we build upon. If he does not find it, it is enough for us that we have exerted our utmost effort. And infallibility belongs to God alone. He is the guardian of success.
