These tribes are owners of cultivation, cattle, and camels, and are predominantly horsemen. Their last settlement was Marsa Fadhala, and Marsa Fadhala is on the western Makait Sea. Between it and Wadi Umm Rub' are three stages. Umm Rub' is on a large wadi, hot in summer, with steep slopes, rapid currents, and many rocks. This region has acacia trees, *asman*, and *nim* trees, which are abundant and cheap. It also has fields and farms of the 'Asnani, cotton, and cumin. These are in the south of the wadi. Beyond this wadi, there is a large area of *tarafa* and *ansab* trees, with much undergrowth. It is a large forest where lions are numerous. Sometimes they are ordered to be hunted, but the inhabitants of these areas do not fear them. They have even confronted them with their bare hands without weapons, only wrapping their forearms with animal skins and holding pieces of *sidr* thorns and knives in their hands. They have encountered lions and inflicted wounds, but this does not instill fear in them. Rather, they fear their harm and avoid their presence. Sometimes they prey on the weak, such as those leading camels or other animals. From Umm Rub' to the village of Aqsal is one stage. It is a beautiful village with many springs, flowing between hard rocks. The water also irrigates their crops. From this village to the village of Anqal is one stage. There are two areas, Dar al-Mawatin and another, with a spring. They have good water and are pleasant places. There are *tambrud* deer, gazelles, wild asses, and *na'am*. Their pastures are abundant with livestock, which graze freely and are watched over. They are countless thousands. The inhabitants of these areas hunt them with spears, obtaining large camels, wild asses, and other animals. As for the white *al-muwahhid*, it is not surrounded by abundance and cannot be obtained.
