And on the island of Al-Sa'ali, there are people with the appearance of women, with protruding fangs, eyes like lightning, and hair like burning embers. They speak an unintelligible language and fight sea creatures, with no distinction between men and women except for their genitals. Their men have no beards, and their clothing is made of tree leaves. And among them is the island of Khusran, a vast land with a high mountain. On its surface are short, dark-skinned people with beards reaching their knees, broad faces, and large ears. Their sustenance and food come from the plants that grow there, such as grasses and edible plants, similar to what animals eat. They have a small, sweet river that flows from under the mountain. And in it is the island of Al-Ghur, which is long and wide, with abundant grasses and plants, and in it are rivers, pools, and thickets where wild asses and cattle with very long horns take refuge. And there is the island of Al-Mustashkin, which is said to be a populated island with mountains, rivers, trees, fruits, and crops. The city has a high fortress. It is narrated about this island that in ancient times, before the era of Alexander, there was a great dragon that devoured anyone who passed by it, whether human, ox, donkey, or anything similar. It is said that when Alexander entered it, its inhabitants cried out to him and complained about the harm the dragon was causing them, destroying their livestock and cattle. They even made a daily offering for it, setting up two bulls near its location each day. It would come out and devour them, then return to its place. The next day, they would do the same. Alexander asked them, "Does this dragon come from one place or many places?" They replied, "From one place." He said, "Show me its location." They led him near its place, and then they set up the two bulls for it. The dragon approached like a black cloud, its eyes gleaming.
