The state of 'Abd al-Wad was restored a second time. Until the affairs of Fas and Faraqan were settled, and he was the overseer of the king of Balamo, enjoying himself. How much the times have tested you, O you who are like the abundant rain. Pouring down with red leaves and golden ornaments. And your voice, when it is heard, is like the roaring of a lion, a lion of the brave. The devils of the jinn flee from it in terror. The wise men of the jinn are struck by it with meteors. O you who spread justice in the world, your power is great. You have surpassed all the mighty in glory. My lord, may the angels be pleased with you. With a noble deed, a clear proof. If the eye of the enemy had seen the intensity of their anger, the wounds would not have been healed. These are words that, if heard, would be a treasure. The first is a handful of words and beautiful poetry. There is no equal in the paths of the heavens. Neither in the heavens nor among the angels. So may your fortune be good, my lord, as you advance. As if the walls were rebuilt. And God Almighty has forgiven him. He said: May the well be watered with the rain from the sky. My companions and I will gather the spoils. And what is between the two true ones will happen. And the one with the beautiful eyes will be satisfied with the pain. The dwellings of the drinkers of wine are in the heights. They have risen in the meadows and shone upon the mountains. There, the good one says to the departing ones: "Welcome." And a garden by nature for the soul and the heart. So it is fitting that my lord should be pleased with it. But this is what the young man has sown.
