- 74 -The sons of the Maratib, such as the Rakayib and Mashayikh, when they came to him, he would tell them, "You are not in need of us," and he would frighten them with the injustice of their fathers and grandfathers. As for the origin of his path, the foundation is Qadiri, and the litanies are Shadhili, for his shaykh was "Al-Mih Shaykh Muhammad Al-Nasiri Al-Shadhili." Among his sound principles was patience and forbearance from harm from peers and neighbors, and he would not change towards any of them. He would say, "And I entrust my affair to Allah. Indeed, Allah is all-seeing of His servants." Shaykh Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi used to do this. Ibn Ata Allah said in Latayif Al-Munan: Abu Al-Abbas was told, "So-and-so insults you. If you complain to the saint, he will take him." He said, "I would love to take revenge on anyone." And among the sound principles of his path was to abandon everyone who abandons prayer, and he forbade his companions from it. He showed them a miracle in this regard, saying to them, "The ugliness and harshness will come out of his fingers into the food." Then Allah unveiled the veil for a group of them, and they saw it with their own eyes. And I heard from Al-Faqih Muhammad Walad Haj and Al-Faqih Amer bin Abd Al-Jalil, each of them swore by Allah that he saw that with his own eyes. Likewise, I heard it from Al-Faqih Abd Al-Rahman Haytak. And among the sound principles of his path is that if someone takes his path and is afflicted with madness, leprosy, or anything else, it will be removed by his blessing. And in a similar vein is the saying of Al-Busiri: "May Allah have mercy on Shaykh Abu Al-Abbas Al-Mursi. Visit me on Wednesday. You have a Thursday visit. All the fortunate ones are fortunate in their care on Tuesday and Thursday." And among the sound principles of his path is to guide his disciples in remembrance and regular prayers. And many took his path and followed him in his affairs, his character, and his morals. Among them are the poor ones from the people of Upper Egypt, Ibn Bint Al-Khatib Ammar, Al-Faqih Abd Al-Qadir Ibn Mustafa, Al-Faqih Muhammad bin Abd Al-Dafi', Khalifa Walad Dawud, Al-Faqih Muhammad Walad Al-Faqih, Al-Faqih Muhammad Walad Al-Malidi, and the sons of Al-Faqih, the masters of jurisprudence Muhammad and Al-Faqih Ali and Al-Faqih Hamad Allah Walad Malak, his sons Muhammad and Muhammad bin. And from the people of Lower Egypt, Al-Faqih Abd Al-Dafi', Al-Faqih Dayf Allah, Al-Faqih Muhammad Walad As, Al-Faqih Hasab Allah Walad Bahr, Al-Faqih Bishara Abu Saif Oud, Al-Faqih Abd Al-Hamud Ibn Abd Al-Hamid, Al-Faqih Al-Nur Walad Ubayd, Al-Faqih Amer bin Abd Al-Jalil, Al-Faqih Idris bin Nassar, Al-Faqih Muhammad Walad Haj, Al-Faqih Muhammad Al-Musalla, Al-Faqih Abd Al-Rahman Al-Brunsi, his brother, Al-Faqih Muhammad Ibn Abd Al-Latif, Al-Faqih Uthman Al-Hilali, and a large group whose names we cannot enumerate. These mentioned individuals followed his guidance and walked his path. We have seen one of them, if he were to die of hunger, would not eat with someone who abandons prayer, nor would he abandon congregational prayer and regular prayers after each prayer, and the remembrance of the morning and evening.
