The people of Yemen correspond with each other and with others from the people of Sham, and they gather in groups, like the gathering of autumn clouds (scattered clouds). 6. The ruler of the Jazira dies, and disagreement arises at his death. The people of Yemen and Saudi Arabia fight, and three of the emirs fight for the kingdom, and the tribes fight. Black banners come from the East, and they will kill you a killing that no people have killed. 7. Roads and trade are cut off, chaos increases, and people despair and lose hope of seeing relief. 8. Seven or nine scholars move from different horizons in order, and coordination to work on gathering people to pledge allegiance to the Mahdi. Each one of them pledges allegiance to 313 men. 9. The Mahdi emerges from one of the villages of Jarash with thirty men, heading to Mecca as the tribulation intensifies and the killing increases. 10. The Mahdi's companion and the one in charge of his affairs comes to forty of his companions who are searching for the Mahdi in Mecca. 13. Ten chieftains are chosen from the forty to meet the Mahdi.
