Foreword
Part One The Imam Al-Mahdi, peace be upon him, from the Mahdi
to the grave In order to be aware of the Mahdi in advance, I have quoted the sayings
of the exegetes regarding the verses that indicate the appearance of Imam
Al-Mahdi, and the authentic and explicit hadiths from the books
of hadith. I have quoted from the two Sahihs what refers to him.
The Mahdi in the Holy Quran Ibn Jarir Al-Tabari said in his exegesis of the Almighty's saying:
(And who is more unjust than he who prevents God's mosques from being mentioned therein his name, and strives for their ruin. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and for them in the hereafter is a great punishment.) (Surah
Al-Baqarah: 114), he said: (As for their disgrace in this world, when the Mahdi rises and Constantinople is conquered, he will kill them, capture them, and take them captive.
Thus is the disgrace.) Al-Qurtubi narrated from Qatadah and Al-Suddi:
(Their disgrace in this world is the rise of the Mahdi and the conquest of Ammuria,
Rome, and Constantinople.) Al-Shawkani said: (As for their disgrace
in this world, when the Mahdi rises and Constantinople is conquered,
Al-Qurtubi narrated from Al-Suddi regarding the Almighty's saying:
(That He may make it prevail over all religions.) He said: (That is at the time of the emergence of
the Mahdi. No one will remain except that he will enter Islam or pay
the jizyah.) Muqatil bin Sulaiman said regarding the Almighty's saying: (And indeed, he is a sign for the Hour, so do not doubt it, and follow Me. This is
a straight path.) He said: (He is the Mahdi in the end of
