A note 19 . Described as having deep, kohl-lined eyes and prominent eyebrows, from the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him.

20 .Broad shoulders, wide between them, broad-chested. From Abu Abdullah, he said: I said to him: May I be sacrificed for you, I want to touch your chest. He said: Do so. So I touched his chest and shoulders. He said: Why, O Abu Muhammad? I said: May I be sacrificed for you, I heard your father say: Indeed, Al-Qaim has a broad chest and wide shoulders, and is broad between them. And Imam Ali said while on the pulpit: (A man from my offspring will emerge in the end of time, with broad shoulders.)

21 . He has a mark on his face and a rash on his head. Abu Ja'far al-Baqir said, may Allah be pleased with him, describing Al-Mahdi: (He has a reddish complexion, deep-set eyes, prominent eyebrows, broad shoulders, a rash on his head, and a mark on his face.)

22 .Thick beard, his hair flowing onto his shoulders. And from the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: (Al-Mahdi has a thick beard, kohl-lined eyes, shining front teeth,...) When the Commander of the Faithful, Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, was asked about the description of Al-Mahdi, he said: (He is a young man of medium height, handsome face, his hair flowing onto his shoulders, the light of his face overshadowing the darkness of his hair, beard, and head.)

23 .He has two moles, one under or on his shoulder, the color of his skin, and one on his thigh. A mole is a birthmark on the skin. Ibn Abbas heard Mu'awiyah ask him about the time, and he informed him (that a man from them will rule in the end of time for forty years. The wars will be for the last seven years of his rule. Then he will die in despair. Then a man with two moles will rule, and by his hands will be the victory on that day, according to Ali.)
