A Note The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Damascus is the stronghold of the Muslims in the great battles, Jerusalem is their stronghold against the Dajjal, and Mount Tur is their stronghold against Gog and Magog."

Jesus son of Mary (peace be upon him) Jesus son of Mary will descend at the white minaret east of Damascus. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What will be your state when the son of Mary descends among you and leads you?" Or he said: "Your Imam will be from among you." He will follow the Dajjal and kill him in Palestine (at the gate of Lod), and the Muslims will kill all the Jews. Jesus will wipe the faces of some believers and give them glad tidings of their ranks in Paradise. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jesus son of Mary will be joined by men from my Ummah, who will be like you or better than you." Then Jesus son of Mary will break the cross, kill the swine, and call people to Islam. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Him in Whose hand is my soul, it is imminent that the son of Mary will descend among you as a just judge and a just leader. He will break the cross, kill the swine, abolish the jizya, and wealth will flow so abundantly that no one will accept it." At that time, there will be no one on the face of the earth except that they will enter Islam. The Mahdi will die after peace has spread over the entire earth.
