Gurdumah. "Ziydah" mentions that Ibn al-Sanusi, after refusing the Sultan's invitation, decided to leave Marrakech. He left for some oases and was in Algeria in 1830 when the French occupied it. This is based on "Rinn." Not only that, but Ziydah also states in the margins that "the history of the Sanusi family is unclear." He discusses it without reaching a definitive conclusion about his departure date, although he leans towards a certain period. As for Shukri, he mentions, relying on the excerpt we quoted from him which shows the government's stance towards him, that Ibn al-Sanusi decided to travel in 1845, intending to go to Fez. He mentions in late 1854 that Pritchard states Ibn al-Sanusi left Fez in the 1830s. Al-Ashib agrees with Shukri's statement, and then... He built a zawiya in another place, stating that Ibn al-Sanusi entered the Hijaz in 1849, which makes us doubt the accuracy of the first date because it would require, according to the second Al-Ashib, that Ibn al-Sanusi left Fez before 1849. The first date differs from the second by several years. Al-Mashashi also mentioned in 1854... All these statements contradict the words of King Idris in the introduction to Al-Iqaz: "Then I moved around the year twenty of the aforementioned century to the protected city of Fez. I stayed there until the end of the twenties!" That is, around the year 1830. The King has set the date of his grandfather Ibn al-Sanusi's departure... Given the disagreement of the historians in determining the year of Ibn al-Sanusi's departure from Fez and the desire to reach a correct historical timeline of his life, I referred to King Idris and sent him the following question: He had told me during a meeting what I wanted to include in Al-Wasi's Al-Iqaz: "The timeline of the life of the grandfather, Sayyid Ahmad bin Ali al-Sanusi, may God have mercy on him.
