He said, "He is looking at her, and his longing has been stirred." And her saying, "What has intoxicated me," means she has become extended. And his saying, "between Dir' and Majwal," means she is between the Dir' and Majwal. She desires to be between these two. Abu Bakr said, "The Dir' is worn by women who have entered old age, and the Majwal is worn by young girls." So he says she is neither a young girl nor has she entered old age, but she is in her youth, between these two stages. The verification is that if he says, "She has intoxicated me," then his speech continues, and he says, "between Dir' and Majwal," meaning her garment that is suitable, between the Dir' and the Majwal, which is between the long and the short. And he made "sababa" accusative as an object for the reason, or as a مصدر in the place of a حال. Ayub said there is another saying that the Majwal is a sash. So how could he say, "between Dir' and Majwal"? The answer to this is that the Majwal covers some of her body because it is a sash, and the Dir' is a garment.

He said, "Her whiteness is like the whiteness of a young bird, nourished by water that is not salty." It is also narrated, "Her whiteness is like the whiteness of a young bird." And he recites, "The whiteness is raised," and its reading is "lowered." So if it is raised, the meaning is "her whiteness is raised," and if it is lowered, it means "her whiteness is lowered." And "jar" is like "dirham" given to "Hasan" for his beautiful face. And "bakr" here means the egg, and the egg of an ostrich is yellowish. He said, "bakr" and "muqanat" mean her whiteness is yellowish. And similarly, he said, "I did not see this yesterday, but I see it today." He means that the whiteness of her skin is mixed with the redness of her cheeks, and the redness is the color of the dawn. "As if it were silver that gold has touched." And "qayr" is pure water. He means that she grew up in a fertile land, and "ghayr al-hall" means that no one has praised her beauty. And the pronoun in "ghadhaaha" refers to the woman.
