And Allah Almighty is the Highest and Most Knowing. The reason for the connection of Surat Al-Kahf with protection from the tribulations of the End Times, foremost among them the tribulation of the Antichrist (Al-Masih Al-Dajjal); the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surat Al-Kahf will be protected from the Antichrist." (Narrated by Muslim in his Sahih).

We can summarize this connection as follows: 1. The numerical value, according to the Gematria calculation, of the Almighty's saying: "And they stayed in their cave three hundred years and increased by nine." (18:25). The numerical value is 1808, noting that the word "three" (thalathah) is sometimes written in the Quran without an alif.

2. If we subtract from the previous number (1808) the numerical value, according to Gematria, of the word "Bani" (sons of) Israel, which is 365, we will find the number 1443. This, God willing, points to the Hijri year in which the final state of the sons of Israel will fall.

3. If we subtract from the previous number (1808) the numerical value, according to Gematria, of the word "Banu" (sons of) Israel, which is 361, we will find the number 1447. This, God willing, points to the Hijri year in which Jesus, peace be upon him, the prophet of the sons of Israel, will descend. It also points to the Hijri year in which the leader of the sons of Israel at the End Times, meaning the Antichrist (Al-Masih Al-Dajjal), will emerge, as his followers will be most numerous upon his emergence. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "The Hour will not be established until 70,000 of the Children of Israel are attacked by the Turks." (Narrated by Muslim in his Sahih).

4. The literal writing of the previous number (1808) is "one thousand and eight hundred and eight." The numerical value, according to Gematria, of this writing is 1367. This, God willing, points to the Hijri year in which the modern Jewish state was established. This Hijri year corresponds to the year 1948 AD.

5. The order of Surat Al-Kahf in the Quran is 18. The number of verses that dealt with the story of the Companions of the Cave is 18 verses, starting from the ninth verse (9) and ending with the twenty-sixth verse (26).
