The narrator mentions three tribulations: the tribulation of the saddle, the tribulation of the wealthy, and the tribulation of the black banners. These are the same three major tribulations mentioned in previous narrations. Therefore, we can arrange them as follows: 1. The First Major Tribulation: This is the tribulation of the saddle, which moved the nation from the stage of the Caliphate on the prophetic methodology to the stage of hereditary monarchy. The Prophet, peace be upon him, described it as a tribulation where people turn away from each other due to the division of opinions, and a tribulation where wealth is lost and plundered. This indeed happened at the end of the stage of the Caliphate on the prophetic methodology due to the killing of the rightly guided Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him. The nation was afflicted with chaos and division of opinions, which led to the demise of the Caliphate on the prophetic methodology and the emergence of the stage of hereditary monarchy. The effects of this tribulation will not leave the nation until Allah inherits the earth and all who are on it. For this reason, it is called the tribulation of the saddle, as the saddle is the leather placed on the camel's back for protection from what it carries, and it remains with it for a long time.
2. The Second Major Tribulation: This is the tribulation of the wealthy, which moved the nation from the stage of hereditary monarchy to the stage of despotic rule. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, informed us that it would emerge from under the feet of two men from his household, peace be upon him, who claim to be from him in word and deed, but it will be contrary to his command, peace be upon him, in his word and deed. This indeed happened with the end of the stage of hereditary monarchy, which was represented by the last kingdom, the Ottoman Empire. A man named Sharif Hussein, the Emir of Mecca at that time, who was from the household of the Prophet, ignited a revolution against the Ottoman Empire, instigated by Christian European countries. This was called the Great Arab Revolt. This revolt resulted in the fall of the Ottoman Empire. With its fall, the stage of hereditary monarchy ended, and the stage of despotic rule emerged, which, God willing, will not exceed one hundred (100) years, as explained previously, because it is an unstable rule.
