The preceding events refer to the sending of shackled devils from mankind, not all at once; rather, it means that the hope of the Ummah will also not be fulfilled all at once. If it were all at once, it would necessitate the repeated sending of shackled devils from mankind, and this is incorrect.
This meaning is supported by what Abd al-Razzaq narrated in his Musannaf, from Abdullah bin Amr, who said: "The devils will be released upon mankind, and they will torment them. But they will not be able to do anything to him [the Prophet] or to anyone who believes in him." This saying of Abdullah bin Amr indicates that these shackled devils will be released and appear among mankind all at once. This appearance is, in reality, a prelude to the release and appearance of their master, the great Antichrist, and his emergence among mankind.
This period, which the Prophet, peace be upon him, called the period of hope, is the same period as the fourth stage, the stage of coercive rule. It is described this way because hope will be the common factor among all members of the Ummah throughout this stage, due to the oppression, coercion, injustice, and deviation from religion they will experience. They will constantly hope for its end until the humiliation and degradation they suffer because of it are removed.
The Prophet, peace be upon him, has set the period of this hope at one hundred (100) years. Therefore, the fourth stage, the stage of coercive rule, will also have a duration of one hundred (100) years, God willing. That is, it will end in the year 1441 AH, corresponding to the years 2019-2020 AD, as it began in the year 1341 AH.
From this statement, we conclude that the fifth stage, the stage of the Caliphate on the Prophetic methodology, will begin, God willing, in the year 1441 AH, corresponding to the years 2019-2020 AD.
